From the runway to the Bernese Oberland.
Interlaken sits on the strip of land between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, and almost every trip from Zurich into the Jungfrau region passes through it. Some guests stay in town, in the hotels along the Höheweg, looking across the Höhematte to the Jungfrau. Others carry on to a chalet in Grindelwald, or up the valley to Lauterbrunnen, where the train leaves for car-free Wengen.
The train makes the journey too: from the airport to Interlaken Ost, usually with a change in Zurich or Bern, then a local line to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. With a small bag that works. With two suitcases each, skis and children who slept through the flight, every change of platform means lifting everything again. The car takes the whole lot from the arrivals hall to the hotel door.
The chauffeur waits after customs with your name on a tablet, and the office follows your flight number, so a late landing moves the pick-up time with it. From Zurich city the car collects you at your hotel, office or home, and the drive is a quarter of an hour shorter. On the way back it is at your door in Interlaken at least fifteen minutes before the booked time, and the price, tolls included, is fixed before you pay.
Through Lucerne and over the Brünig.
The direct road leaves Zurich on the motorway to Lucerne, runs along Lake Sarnen and crosses the Brünig Pass, then drops to Lake Brienz and follows its shore into Interlaken. From the airport that is about 130 km and about two hours; from the city centre, about 120 km and an hour and three quarters.
The alternative is motorway all the way, by Bern and along Lake Thun, about fifty kilometres longer. The chauffeur chooses between the two on the day, looking at the traffic and at the weather on the pass. Neither road crosses a border.
From Interlaken the car turns south into two valleys, one for Grindelwald and the other for Lauterbrunnen, each about a quarter of an hour beyond the town.

Both take three passengers and three bags. A family with skis is better off in the SUV: five passengers, five bags and all-wheel drive, the class for the Alps in winter and for the valley roads to Grindelwald after a snowfall.
Groups travel in vans. The Van Standard takes seven people with seven bags. The Van First Class takes six, with four seats facing each other around a table, which suits a team on its way to a retreat at one of the lake hotels. The Sprinter van and the minibus carry twelve and fourteen, and larger groups go in two vehicles.

At Zurich the chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall, after customs, with a tablet showing your name or your company's logo, and you receive the chauffeur's contact details before you land. For the return, the car is at your hotel at least fifteen minutes before the booked time.

How long is the drive from Zurich Airport to Interlaken?
About two hours for about 130 km, on the road through Lucerne and over the Brünig Pass. In peak season and in bad weather, allow extra time.
Can you drive us to Wengen or the Jungfraujoch?
As far as Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald. Wengen is car-free and the Jungfraujoch is reached only by rail, so the chauffeur stops at Lauterbrunnen station for the train through Wengen, or at Grindelwald Terminal for the Eiger Express, and unloads the bags there.
Can we stop in Lucerne on the way?
Yes. Lucerne is on the direct road: ask for a quote with the stop included. A stop that adds time or kilometres changes the price, and you see the full price before you pay.
Can we book the return from Interlaken at the same time?
Yes, ask for both in the same quote. The chauffeur comes to your hotel in Interlaken, Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen at least fifteen minutes before the booked time. Plan the pick-up with a margin for check-in at Zurich, and a little more in snow.
What if my flight is delayed?
